The builder reads the adapter from svelte.config.js (or from your @sveltejs/adapter-* dependency).
Node server: @sveltejs/adapter-node
js
// svelte.config.js
import adapter from '@sveltejs/adapter-node'
export default { kit: { adapter: adapter() } }The app is built and started with node build (or the out folder you configured). The Node adapter reads HOST and PORT from the environment, which Fjordrun sets.
If your app needs to know its public URL for form actions, set ORIGIN in the service's Variables, for example ORIGIN=https://${{FJORDRUN_PUBLIC_DOMAIN}}.
Static: @sveltejs/adapter-static
The build/ folder (or pages) is served by nginx. If you set a fallback page (for example 200.html), it is used for unknown routes, which turns the site into a single-page app.
adapter-auto and provider adapters
adapter-auto and adapters for other hosting providers cannot produce something Fjordrun can run, and the build stops with:

SvelteKit uses @sveltejs/adapter-auto, which can't produce a build Fjordrun can run. Install @sveltejs/adapter-node (server) or @sveltejs/adapter-static (static site) and set it as the adapter in svelte.config.js.Install @sveltejs/adapter-node or @sveltejs/adapter-static and set it in svelte.config.js.
