Credits and auto-recharge
Prepaid credit pays for usage beyond what your plan includes. It is the way to use Fjordrun without a subscription (pay as you go), and a way to pre-pay overage on Hobby or Pro.
Buying credit
In Team settings → Usage & billing → Add credit, choose an amount and pay through Stripe Checkout:
- whole euros from €5 to €1000 (presets €10, €20, €50, €100);
- VAT is added on top where it applies (see VAT and invoices);
- credit is added once the payment succeeds;
- credit expires 12 months after purchase and is non-refundable.
Tick save card to keep the payment method for auto-recharge.
How credit is used
In each billing period, usage is covered in this order:
- the usage included in your plan (Trial €2 once, Hobby €5, Pro €20);
- prepaid credit, using the credit that expires soonest first;
- overage, invoiced at the end of the period, only if you have a subscription.
Without a subscription, a team that runs out of included usage and credit is paused until credit is added, then resumes automatically.
Auto-recharge
Auto-recharge buys credit automatically when your balance runs low, so services never pause for lack of credit.

It needs a saved payment method (buy credit with save card, or add one in the billing portal). Each recharge is charged as a Stripe invoice with VAT. If a recharge fails, owners and admins get an email.
Low-credit emails
Teams with credit get an email when 80% of included usage plus credit is used in a period, and when less than €1 of credit is left (not sent while auto-recharge is on).
Promo credit
Fjordrun may grant promotional credit, for example for referrals or to beta testers. It is used like bought credit and shows its own expiry date.
