Teams and roles

A team is the unit of ownership and billing on Fjordrun. It owns projects, members, API tokens, the plan, prepaid credit and invoices. Every account starts with a personal team; you can create more teams and switch between them in the dashboard.

Each team runs in its own Kubernetes namespace. See Security model for how teams are isolated from each other.

Members and roles

Invite people from Team settings → Members. Invitations are sent by email and can be revoked until they are accepted. Every member has one role:

RoleCan
viewerSee projects, services, deployments, logs and metrics. Read-only.
memberEverything a viewer can, plus create and change projects, services, variables, domains and volumes, deploy, open a shell and manage volume files.
adminEverything a member can, plus manage members and invitations, billing, API tokens and team secrets.
ownerEverything an admin can, plus delete the team.

The Pro plan includes unlimited seats. Members are not billed per seat on any plan.

Billing belongs to the team

Plans, usage, credit, spending limits and invoices are per team. See Plans.

Activity

The team's activity log records who did what: deployments, variable and domain changes, members, tokens and billing changes. Each project also has its own activity feed.

Fjordrun is hosted in the EU (Hetzner, Nuremberg, Germany). Private beta.
