Memory

Each build runs in its own container with a memory limit that depends on the team's plan. It can use swap beyond that limit, which is slower but lets bigger builds finish.

Plan	Build memory
Trial	512 MB plus swap
Hobby	512 MB plus swap
Pro	1 GB plus swap

A build that still runs out of memory fails with:

Build ran out of memory (512 MB plus swap) — reduce what the build loads at once, upgrade to Pro for 1 GB builds, or build the image in CI and deploy it

Ways to reduce build memory:

• turn off source maps for production builds if you don't need them;
• in monorepos, build only the app the service needs (set the root directory, or use --filter);
• build the image in your own CI and deploy it as a Docker image service.

Time

A build may run for up to 30 minutes.

Cost

Builds are not billed as usage. You pay for the service once it runs.
